Explore our beautifully decorated space, enjoy live music in our bar, and indulge in some delicious seasonal treats! Grab yourself a complimentary drink and a mince pie or two on arrival, and browse our range of Holyrood spirits, merchandise and gifting options, plus a range of spirits, fortified wines and liqueurs from some of our favourite producers in Edinburgh and beyond.

Looking for somewhere extra special to host your Christmas drinks?
Gather your friends and elevate your festive celebrations with an evening at our cosy distillery bar!
Our exclusive bar hire offers the perfect setting for your Christmas get-together, whether it’s an intimate office party, or a lively celebration with friends.
With a warmly decorated space for up to 40 people, a specially curated festive drinks menu, and a dedicated team at your service – we’ll provide a tailored experience to help you toast the season in the best possible way!
We’re offering the chance to hire our bar exclusively on the following dates:

- Friday 6th December
- Friday 13th December
- Friday 20th December
- Saturday 21st December
You are welcome to book your exclusive hire either from 4-6pm or 6.30pm – 8.30pm, subject to availability. Want a little longer, or a different date – please do just ask!
HOW TO BOOK
We do not require a minimum drinks spend or charge a hire fee – simply a £10 deposit per person to secure your booking. You can then redeem this for a welcome drink on arrival, and we’ll throw in some snacks too!
We can also offer a range of tours and experiences to enjoy before your bar session on request.

Taking inspiration from our surroundings, and from Edinburgh’s brewing and distilling heritage, we produce the city’s only single malt whisky and an award-winning range of gin.

We are a short 15-minute walk from the Royal Mile, located right next to Holyrood Park.

The Lothian Buses Number 14 stops on Rankeillor Street a 2-minute walk to our front door and many other services stop nearby, please visit lothian buses for details.

We don’t provide public parking, however blue badge holders/registered disabled vehicles can pick up and drop off in the courtyard area.

We have several bike racks on site, allocated on a first come first serve basis.
All ages are welcome on the ‘Holyrood Distillery Tour’ – under 5s go free and children aged 5-17 are offered a discounted ticket. We have baby changing facilities on site if required.
All other tours and experiences are 18+.Â
The samples on our tour are complimentary therefore the price reflects the experience only. If you wish, you can take your samples to enjoy later or we’ll provide a non-alcoholic alternative.

Holyrood distillery tour
The perfect introduction to Holyrood Distillery. Our signature guided tour will take you through our gin and whisky production spaces, explaining the processes behind our award winning Height of Arrows gin and our single malt whiskies. Get to know our spirits with sample tastings throughout your tour.

Short on time, or just want to see the main event? Our Holyrood Highlights experience is the perfect choice for those on a tight itinerary, or if you are simply looking to see the main event.Â

EH EVENINGS
As a thank you to Edinburgh residents for sharing the city we call home, we have introduced our weekly ‘EH Evenings’. Free to attend for anyone with an EH postcode – you’ll get a fully guided complimentary tour of our distillery, lab and cask room – plus free samples of our Height of Arrows Gin and single malt whisky. You’ll then have exclusive access to our paid bar to enjoy some delicious drinks, live music, and food available to order from our Southside neighbours.
